Scammer Update: Thomas Barger

This is just a little bit odd, isn’t it? Same webpage, same content, same web host server, same photo, but different name/email/phone numbers!

This guy is just barely trying. He has not one but two sites with the same content stolen from Stephane’s WorldlyWatches.com:

Thomas-Watches.com

Thomas-Watches.com

Vintages-Watches.com

Vintages-Watches.com

Barger-Jewelry.com - note the same phone #'s

Barger-Jewelry.com - note the same phone #'s

The same person(s) also apparently trade on eBay under the name “tkbarger.” A noteable curiosity in the feedback profile for tkbarger is that despite a high volume of high-dollar watch purchases with uniformly (until recently at least) glowing feedbacks that conspicuously seem to go out of the way to explicitly describe a high-dollar watch purchase, tkbarger seems to seldom to never leave feedback for buyers. Of course, this tends to encourage speculation that the previous feedbacks are shills staged to entice big fish buyers. And that recent exception to the glowing praise cried out, “SCAM!” = not good.

At present that username has some $77k in watches listed on eBay. Ouch:

tkBarger's eBay listings. Ouch.

tkBarger's eBay listings. Ouch.

HELLO ALL. THIS GUY TRADED UNDER SEVERAL NAMES…AND HE HAS SEVERAL WEBSITES AS WELL. I WIRED TO HIM 25K LAST YEAR, AND GOT A PLUG ADAPTER FROM CANADA INSTEAD OF THE ROLEX I PAID FOR. NICE. ANOTHER GUY A PORNO VIDEO INSTEAD OF A PATEK. FUNNY. ANYWAY, I SPEND SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS IN PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS AND I KNOW WHO HE IS, AND WHERE IS OPERATING FROM. AS I TOLD HIM, 25K ARE TOO MUCH TO LOOSE THEM LIKE TO. WILL SOON MEET MY FRIEND. SO, LET ME KNOW HOW MUCH HE STOLE FROM ANY OF YOU AND WILL TRY TO MAKE HIM SPIT IT OUT.

I lost a lot of money to tkbarger on ebay. I have contacted the FBI and have been informed that they will ONLY get involved if enough people scammed by tkbarger report the crime. At http://www.ic3.gov is an online form to report this internet fraud to the fbi.
